Johanna Michaelsen 23915 Garnier Torrance, CA 90505 July 9th, 1992 To Whom It May Concern: I am grieved and horrified by this latest attack on Mike Warnke. I am not, however, surprised by it. In the last several years we have witnessed a systematic, concerted and well organized effort to utterly destroy and discredit the reputation of ministries and individuals who courageously maintain that there is indeed a problem with Satanism in America. I know of no one who has had a more positive impact in the lives of young people who have been caught up in Satanism and the occult than Mike Warnke. I have personally watched Mike at work in at least four live concerts. We have worked together on various radio and television programs. We have also kept in touch by telephone over the years. My husband Randolph and I consider him a good friend. Among the characteristics that have impressed us most about Mike are his profound love and zeal for Jesus Christ, an inexhaustible desire to see young people come to know Him, and a deep-seated loathing of hypocrisy in the Church. Mike's personal testimony and frequently self-deprecating sense of humor have been used to win people for Jesus Christ whom few others in the Church could even begin to reach. This has, evidently, caused great discomfiture in some circles. It seems to me that the overwhelming amount of time, energy, and money that has obviously been poured into the attempted annihilation of Mike Warnke and others, could have more profitably been spent in reaching the lost for Jesus Christ. Sincerely, [signed] Johanna Michaelsen Author of BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF EVIL, and LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER [signed] Randolph Michaelsen Associate Pastor to Tetelestai Christian Center Torrance, California
